FROM PUBLIC SERVICE TO PET PROFESSIONAL

After 32 years in law enforcement, I turned my lifelong passion for dogs into a full-time mission: helping people live in harmony with their canine companions.

I provide private, in-home dog training across Edmonton and the Capital Region, offering tailored plans that work in real life — where your dog lives and learns. As a former Officer Safety instructor, I am well versed in providing training methodologies that allow you to be calm and consistent in even the most stressful environments.

My approach is calm, force-free, and rooted in science — focused not just on behaviour, but on building connection.

AND MORE!

My commitment to continuous learning and evolution is unmatched!

Professionalism in Dog Training

The dog training industry has evolved — and so have expectations.

Today’s true professionals aren’t just good with dogs; they’re educated, accountable, and committed to ongoing learning.

Like other caregiving fields, we now follow codes of conduct, collaborate globally, and move far beyond the days of “their dog listens, so they must be a good trainer.”

Your dog is a sentient being and a valued part of your family. You deserve a trainer who treats that relationship with the respect and care it warrants.

My commitment to education is unmatched in Alberta. I’m a member of the industry’s most respected professional organizations, and I’ve trained under world-renowned behaviour experts. I am one of few Canadian representatives found at major dog training conferences across the continent.

My approach blends perspectives from across the field to bring clients proven, force-free strategies that strengthen the human-animal bond and deliver real results.

I can help any dog.

  • Golden retriever dog yawning on a couch with window blinds in the background.

*Mild* reactivity, fear, or resource guarding stream

    puppy development stream

For dogs from 8 to 20 weeks of age. Learn vital socialization skills, develop foundation behaviours, problem solve and create a deeper bond by understanding your dog.

Set the course for lifelong understanding of your dog’s needs and how to communicate yours.

  • Two dogs playing in the snow, one with a light-colored, fluffy coat and the other with a darker coat, engaging in rough play. The light-colored dog has its mouth open, tongue out, and appears to be smiling.

    aggression stream

Your dog has attempted or bitten a person or other dog or exhibits any type of behaviour that causes you to fear for your safety, public safety, or the safety of other dogs.

This is a complex problem requiring careful and complex solutions. This is comprehensive program that moves beyond quick fixes.
